Thomas Wainewright is ... a loser. I've written about him before and frankly I don't feel like repeating myself, if you're a long time watcher then yay! You might have an idea.
if not... maybe next time. hah. I'm just repeating the basics here.

Anyway yeah he's a loser but also a member of the Cult of the Red King, and is one of the higher ranking people there. He has the power of Bloodspeaking. He is capable of causing or stopping bleeding but the drawback is that overusing his power will cause part of the bleeding he causes to reflect back to himself. He also has a fairly high tolerance to the Red Word; a language used by the Red King and other such monstrosities, and it will cause normal people to go insane if they red or hear it.

(In fact the whole deal with the Speakers is that they are needed to decipher the Red Word and the fact they develop supernatural powers is just a side-effect)

He's been kind of wanting to quit the cult for some time because he isn't really that hardened, but lacks the will to pull himself off their grasp.
