I've ever been the fan of "shaggy dog" stories (which I suppose this is in the literal sense) for their focus on tonality. While there are many works whose message sticks in the mind of readers, I feel it's a bigger accomplishment for a reader to be haunted by meaningless imagery. I close my eyes and I can see that place, the fences and their decrepit signs. Without making these things an essay... the artistry remains.

I enjoyed this piece very much, the liquid flow of it and little sparks of your sanguine attitude <3

This was quite the interesting and well-written read! This piece definitely had my full rapt attention invested in the circumstances that the narrator experienced. Of course, the realization that everything was a Shaggy Dog story all along threw me for a bit of a loop. It was very a much a 'd'oh! of course!' sort of moment. All in all, I must say that you did quite a marvelous job! Bravo! :D

If I went to that interview, I'd be missing a hand. Doggies, must pet doggies!
