Route 102
My first Pokémon game was Emerald. I watched Pokémon anime since I was born, I collected stickers, plushies and figures, I bought magazines to read about Pokémon news and I watched my friends play Pokémon Yellow, Gold and Ruby. But the first game that I lived, the first one that I actually owned and discovered by myself was Pokémon Emerald.
That was back in 2005. I started my Pokémon adventure in Hoenn and my first Pokémon was a little orange chicken. I nicknamed him Blaze (who doesn't have a Fire Pokémon with that nickname? :P) and trained him all day. I still remember when he became a Combusken - it was at this exact place, in route 102. I was amazed to see what he had become, and the same thing happened when he became a Blaziken (I can't remember when did than happen though).
I restarted my Emerald game after I finished it and I thought I had lost my first Pokémon and my Rayquaza (to whom I grew very attached as well), but I've just checked my Pokémon Diamond and there he is - being my favourite chickenbutt! I'm so glad I didn't lose him! He was a huge part of my childhood ♥
This is a small tribute to my favourite bunch of data, that pile of red and yellow pixels who fought with me inside my little old Nintendo DS!

Nostalgia, nostalgia... I just got finished watching Pokemon The First Movie with my eight year old sister... Pokemon, I just don't have the words to describe how important it was and still is to my life, and I'm glad that the young'uns are still interested in it so I pass down wisdom from the 1st Gen to them. :p
