This Day in History: March 1, 1993

Simonov

On March 1, 1993, furry artist Simonov was born. There's not much of a TDiH for today as I've been a bit busy today spending today hitting a few antique and junk stores at Muskogee and Tahlequah with my parents. My apologies for the lack of content today and we will return to our normal posts with next week's installment of This Day in History. In the meantime, here are a few notable March 1 birthdays:

Frédéric Chopin, composer and virtuoso pianist (1810)
Glenn Miller, trombonist and bandleader (1904)
Robert Clary, actor and Holocaust survivor, best known for his role as Cpl. Louis Lebeau on TV sitcomHogan's Heroes (1926)
Ron Howard, American actor and filmmaker (1954)
Dalia Grybauskaitė, president of Lithuania (1956)
Javier Bardem, Spanish actor (1969)
