Kassius volunteered to join the Hypnotic Herders when his hypnotic powers activated at age 14. The Hypnotic Herders are the agency responsible for guiding and moulding the youth blessed with mind-altering powers into fit and proper creatures. Within his new family, Kassius found his calling in the interior ministry. Their function is to locate citizens who are suffering from slow progressive schizophrenia whin the armed forces and civilian population. Innovative treatment options exist within the hypnotic herding program. Kassius, now 22, has hypnotic eyes/voice that he uses to diagnose and treat creatures suffering from this mental illness. Once a positive diagnosis has been made, he organises their transport to our state-of-the-art treatment hospital deep in the mountains. Treatment for slow progressive schizophrenia is quite intense but the best positive health outcomes are seen in the hypnotic herding program.

Kassius loves finding poor suffering citizens, many of whom don't know they are even sick. He is the shepherd for the lost sheep under his charge. He meets Silver when the ram is returning from a cross border diplomatic conference with the werewolves. After a cup of tea and a chat, he finds out the ram has been duped by those foul bloodthirsty creatures. It is up to Kassius, the only hypnotic herder who knows how to help Silver, to keep him safe. Kassius cancels any further talks to ensure his ram is kept safe from their schemes. He is Silver's boyfriend but the ram just doesn't know it yet. A few surprise dates will surely win the ram's heart.
