Okay, so this guy was a request from my mum to make a cat in the same pose as a window decal she saw and liked (it was a black silhouette in a similar pose but with more scraggly fur and both eyes unharmed.) It is to go on a T-Shirt, but after a bit of viewing she decided she wanted him to have both eyes and be an orange cat (which is okay! I love this design so I'll probs put it on my shirt XD) so I will do her new cat later today.

This was also practice with doing a Photoshop painting again as I have been doing a lot of Zbrush models lately and although 3D models will be my main job when I get such a job in Creature Efx, I didn't want my painting/drawing skills to rust from not using them.

The idea of this cat was that he is the companion of some sailors who are keeping him on board their ship to kill mice and rats so that they don't eat/spoil the food stuffs on the ship. He has seen a lot of hell this cat, and will probably see much more before his life is done.

Like with all my work, YOU MAY NOT USE THIS DESIGN WITHOUT MY PERMISSION! IF you want something like this to put on a mug or a t-shirt or something, commission me and I'll make your design and get it put on whatever you want it on and then send that item to you.

I am not giving you the art so you can put it on whatever you want and then sell it to others. It is my work. Too many people take designs and then start making uber amounts of money off of other's work because they 'paid' for the art and think that it is then okay to put it on whatever and then SELL that to others, and then get upset that the artist complains. Unless you commission someone to make a design that you can sell (and you must tell the artist you plan to sell the work) then it is not okay. Paying for a piece of art is not the same as getting permission to use/sell that art commercially, you must make sure THAT is part of the deal when getting the commission.

This is why I don’t do tattoo commissions because people will then give the art to the shops and I will not get anything off of my design.
