I hate doing self portraits. So I drew some other characters featured in illustrations from my portfolio to make it more fun. This is for my illustration Showcase for the SCBWI Conference in NYC next month. Pretty happy with it- except from a distance, the thumbnail seems dull and muddy.

Yeah, I can't really get into doing self portraits, either. They make me feel pretentious. I'd rather draw something that represents me, like a personal character, than actual me. 'S probably why I have a fursona haha.
