Deer are essentially a type of antelope from my understanding. But I'm not sure on that.

Apparently they belong to the same order, but two different families of it.
'Despite similar appearances, deer and antelope belong to two different scientific families. While both are members of the order Artiodactyla, which is composed of even-toed hoofed animals, deer belong to a family known as Cervidae, which is composed solely of deer species -- 47 of them, to be exact. Antelope belong to the Bovidae family, which includes 135 species of miscellaneous cattle, goats and antelope.'

There's so much motion in this, I love it! The intensity in their expressions really gets across the mood of the scene, too!

Has it ever occurred to you to wonder why jackalopes are always portrayed with deer antlers instead of antelope horns? One of those things that make me go....why? ;3
