Over the past few days I've been working on this animation as an example to show what I'm capable of doing as an animator and planned to add it to my portfolio. Hopefully one of these days Weasyl will add a feature allowing you to embed videos from Vlare since YouTube is no longer my primary video sharing site. I know Vlare is down right now, but it should be back up by the beginning of 2021.
I decided to make a full move to Clip Studio Paint for animation since a lot of big animation studios are using it now and I think it's cool. It makes me feel like a professional, even though I'm not one right now. I'll still use Flash for exporting Flash related content, but it will more than likely be in HTML5 format since Shockwave Flash animations are going the way of the dodo around the end of this year.
If you're wondering what the above marker says, it basically says "note to self: delete audio layer first, then export. Apparently audio importing is for preview purposes only because if I try to export animations with sound from Clip Studio Paint, it crashes. Sirhan himself has also gone through a minor design overhaul. His coat markings were changed and I had the tufts of fur around his face modified to give the illusion of sideburns to make him more anthropomorphized. I also tried to give him a more "realistic" eye color at one point but decided to stick with green and just pass him off as a rarity. Wolves in real life can have green-ish eyes and Sirhan's eye color is more of an exaggeration of that, although pretty much everything about him is; and kind of unrelated but I honestly think people should stop complaining about blue eyed wolf OCs. It's not as impossible as a lot of artists would make you think and it's just fiction.
And lastly, I just want to clarify the difference between backgrounds and backdrops in animation, a backdrop is a scene where your characters are placed and a background is the color underneath a character's line art, pretty much without a background you would see right through them. There's a temporary background placed underneath him in this particular frame to make him more visible. The backdrop is just a rough layout for now, using models from Clip Studio Assets.
Of course, the caption is a joke. I know it looks like he's just sleeping, but he's actually upset. I don't know why, I just felt like making him sad for some reason. I also like using the Photograph Signature font because my actual handwriting is crap as you can tell from my previous drawing of him. ;A;

    I don't like that rabbit thing there. I'm probably going to remove it from the next post on.
