This grumpy lizard is one of Pey'j's ancestors, and my current character in ESO. Roots-Run-Deep, or Ironscales as some know her as, grew up as a guar herder in Black Marsh before leaving home to try and find her own way. She spent a little time in Hammerfell as a dock hand, and it was only after a fateful encounter in the Imperial City that she decided to join the Fighter's Guild.
She's not normally so irritable, but she has some very strong views on Dunmer and their continued use of slaves, even if those slaves aren't Argonians. And hearing dark elves complain all day about having to treat her people like allies is starting to make her really cynical towards the stability of the Pact.
Rumors are abound about her real name, as her current moniker is clearly not Jel, but the big lass will just chuckle and shake her head. "Does that name matter so much? Roots is just fine. Easier to pronounce too. Besides, I left that name behind when I started my new life. The change was needed."
True to her childhood, she has a soft spot for guar. Roots just wishes people didn't stare when she picked up pony guars to hug them.
