It's no secret that I'm a big fan of the new Maleficent movie and it's storyline, so expect to see a lot of pieces themed as such, ha!
[I can proudly say that I am the owner of a new scanner, and I do have to say, what a glorious purchase it has been; I can now scan and upload my traditional pieces timely instead of waiting to scan them at an office store, yay!]
So if the story was slightly tweaked a bit, I think that Maleficent would be a great god-mom/guardian/mother to Aurora if she was "allowed" to raise her from an infant in the first place, say hypothetically, if King Stefan and Queen Leia died in one of their tragic wars over the Moors.
I also connect Maleficent and Aurora's relationship to the concept of "imprinting" as described in the Twilight series books. The relationship begins on a guardianship and transforms into a romantic relationship later.
