Variable pixel size tests by ScruffyBrush

Variable pixel size tests

ScruffyBrush

Tested out Hexel's ability to make variable pixel size and convert opacity to size.

First did stuff like bottom left for a friend's capstone project who needed a cat face texture, did a few tests and minor tweaks but final version is bottom one.

Noticed while I was drawing the chesire looking top left one its nose looked like a skull so I pushed it a bit further that way.
The top 2 faces remind me of some of my OCs accidentally.

I did top 2 after. Top right is straight up an old digital sketch automatically converted to test readability. Overall thought it worked but wasn't sure if it provided any benefit because it don't read at all from up close and it's hard to notice it's not just grayscale from a distance.

Top left was an improvised sketch of Kate again. Doubt it really adds anything and it make sketching extremely painful and slow but still wanted to try color so I threw together last one bottom right by coloring it in and adding highlights in CSP.

Overall I consider everything but the minimal pixelarts a failure.
Very niche but I'd reuse it if there's really thematical use cases as part of a bigger scene, but don't really do scenes much yet.
Was really fun to make and explore but not worth pushing further I think.
