I'm thoroughly happy with how this came out! After reviewing the Speed Painting Tutorial, I decided I needed to tackle this exercise today. No more putting it off! On top of that, I also wanted to challenge myself to work as fast as I could within the boundaries of 1 hour. I figured that this being my first foray into digitally painting a landscape, I wasn't going to have much done in 20 minutes. :P
I used a reference that I shot of my mate at the Huntington Botanical Gardens that we visited a while back - with my mate removed, of course, as I wanted to focus on just painting the environment... for now. :3
I only used one type of brush for this, though in retrospect I should really search for a brush that can paint a whole patch of leaves at once.... I'm really looking forward to possibly making this a weekly exercise! I think that'd be great practice. But anyway, I've rambled on too much. Have a wonderful day everyone!

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it. :3 If you want, I highly recommend this tutorial~ I was looking earlier for a working link, as the previous one I had 404'ed on me for some reason. But here's the Tutorial I was using if you'd like to check it out! Just set aside an hour and have at it. >:3
On that note, I should probably update the description with this tutorial.

For the leaves I used AlectorFencer's brush pack (googling it should get you the downloadlink). This turned out super awesome, hope you'll go through with it! Awesome how you did this in just one hour, I was SO slow with my speedpaint XD

Thank you! I'll be sure to check out that brush pack as soon as I can get to better internet~ I'm considering going all the way through and making this a refined piece later this month. :3 It was quite challenging to work so fast. I caught myself spending a little too much time on little details and would have to push myself to zoom out and look at the big picture. @-@ That said though, I'm sure you'll get faster and faster with your future speedpaints! The level of detail you've achieved in yours was quite wonderful~ :D

The light and shadow here look SUPER nice. I've been struggling with landscapes myself lately, so seeing other people do them well is really inspiring.
