I'm making these on an IBM Thinkpad T30. look that up and you will realize the extensiveness of the crap i go through with that thing...XD

Very low density.
You'd want 10k+. If your computer can't really handle that, then no less than 5k density.
What I suggest doing is making the actual image small, like 500 pixels in height, for example. That way you can render at a higher density. I'd then do a bunch of them and stick them together into one big collage. =)
