The Staff of Howard's Diner by SatsumaLord

The Staff of Howard's Diner

SatsumaLord

The following people work at Howard's Diner and are listed in order from left to right, as referenced from the picture. The only other employee that is not present in the picture would be Stacy herself.

Doris King
Doris King, age 75, is the senior waitress at Howard's Diner; she's been a resident of Bushville all her life and has been a chain smoker for nearly 60 years of aforementioned life. She's a very laid-back person, almost to the point of being apathetic; and for the most part, she doesn't really care about people all that much. That's not to say she's a bad person though, especially since she seems to like Stacy well enough; she just doesn't like to listen to other people prattle on about their own problems is all.

Since Doris has been smoking for such a long time now, she's literally incapable of breathing without inhaling some form of tobacco; whether it be from a cigarette, a cigar, or even a pipe. In an attempt to curb her bad habit, Howard has convinced Doris to start smoking outside; especially whenever Stacy is on duty. However, this only led to Doris spending most of her time smoking outside, instead of actually doing her job. Furthermore, the old doe also tends to wear quite a bit of make-up, so as to make herself look younger. Apparently, she's rather vain like that. And finally, even though Doris lives in a trailer that's only a block away from the diner, she prefers to drive to and from work every day; proving just how mucked-up her lungs really are.

Howard McConners
Howard McConners, age 44, is the owner and chef of Howard's Diner. Before he became a cook, however, he originally worked as a construction worker over in Richmond. He did good work and he was paid well for his services, but it wasn't really what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. So, after gathering up sufficient funds, he packed his things and moved to Bushville; a small community that was about 50 miles west of Richmond, Virginia. Once there, he bought a run-down diner, fixed it up, and then went on to build a guest house behind the property. A year's worth of improvements and repairs later; he opened his doors for business. Some ten years after that, he saw Stacy drifting through the streets in front of his diner; and the rest became history.

Howard himself could best be described as a "good Samaritan with a bleeding heart". He's very sympathetic towards others and he always tries to help people in any way that he can. Because of this, he's garnered quite a bit of respect from the townsfolk; causing many Bushville residents to always look out for the good-natured wolf.
