Trixie's Contemplation

SatsumaLord

Trixie looked contemplatively out onto the ocean as she leaned against the railing of her ship, the Lucky Fox. She was worried about what the future would hold; for her, her husband, her babies, and her crew. It's been over a week now since Clevenger's defeat at Roaric's Cliff back in the port of Augusta, and so far, things seem to be going well for everyone on board the ship. Despite Black Jack's severe injuries at Clevenger's hands, he was expected to make a full recovery within the next couple months. Angela was truly a miracle worker when it came to medicine and the healing arts.

The ship was also currently sailing for the port-town of White Pearl Cove, and it was expected to dock there within the next day or so; thus granting the Pirate Vixen crew the opportunity for a much needed rest. White Pearl was a town famous for its casinos and resort lodgings, meaning that if they played their cards right, the Pirate Vixens could make quite a bit of money off the town, as well as have a good time in the process.

However, Trixie still had a very uneasy feeling in the bottom of her heart. She couldn't quite put her finger on it, but she knew that something bad was going to happen in the near future; something really bad. Maybe it had something to do with the possibility that Jack could become a target for other pirates; he did defeat one of the most dangerous men to ever live after all. Someone could try to kill Jack so as to take revenge on him for killing the Butcher of Victoria Bay; or at the very least, they could try to murder him so as to make a name for themselves. The very thought of losing him again made Trixie feel rather anxious.

Such feelings of anxiety also began to flow through her babies, for they began to move about quite frantically. Trixie noticed their movements and immediately began to caress her belly, in the hopes of calming her unborn children. Moments pass and her tender strokes had successfully reassured her charges, for their frenzied activities relaxed considerably. She solemnly smiled at them as she continued to touch her taut protrusion, but after a short time, she began to look out onto the ocean once more; and hope against hope, that all of her bad feelings were just childish paranoia and not omens for something far more sinister.
