Here the other day, I came to realize that in all honesty, my hands suck. That is, I can make a decent looking hand, but I takes hours of toil and tears. So, I decided to familiarize myself with hands, and here's the progress I've made so far. From ridiculous 10 second speed sketching on the top, through various instances of blind contour drawing, sparsely assisted blind contour drawing, and speed sketches of varying brevity - the bottom left ones as much as 10 minutes. That might not sound much like a speed sketch, but as I said I'd spend hours getting it somewhat right before.
The reason I even upload this is cause I had a notion someone might find this useful or interesting. Hope someone might share in my lessons here. I'd wholeheartedly recommend blind contour! It's relaxing, entertaining, and a great to tap into intuitive drawing.
...and I still don't know what a hand is.
