Blood curdling screams fill the air.
My devilish eyes haunt them to the core;
just the sight of me is enough to make them fall to the floor.
Women or child, I do not care.

They think they're safe, locking themselves inside.
I can see them through their darkened windows and smell their fear.
They tell their little ones to hush, hoping I wont hear.
I find it amusing how they try to hide.

Not one of them is safe.
My cruel hunger is never-ending,
their last flicker of hope is bending.
A twisted smile plays on my face.

Oh, how intent I was on my reign of terror;
to kill me they had tried and tried.
I was now confident in my stride,
but so very unaware.
