Well it's a Shinichiro Watanabe anime - mastermind behind Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Zankyou no Terror, etc... Crazy mixes of things that shouldn't go together but he somehow makes it amazing. This time around you've got a disco retro-future type space opera that hires entirely new artists for every episode just to make sure nothing gets stale.
