I like this character, his aspiration almost rival mine Chuckles Plus, I like parrots. I often wished I was a parrot phenotype, but that totem stays just out of reach for me. They are so pretty, and blessed with such personality.
I am really, digging the new technique I have been using for the last few paintings, it really does add that special glow. Though I am seeing its limits, and how it may not be best for every situation. Additionally, it is difficult to use with acrylics (as it is an oil technique), but I manage. I should note that this image is not as spectacular as the real thing. I simply must start hiring a real photo studio, or invest in better photography equipment.

You know if anyone else had listed this as traditional I would have called BS since it is SO bloody photo technical, but when I saw it was you I accepted it as traditional! Man I wish you lived closer so I could learn some of these techniques from you.
