Commission for Stalbon

I got a little carried away on detail, taking a lot longer then i'd like. I threw my self into this one. In addition, Stalbon tipped me generously when he commissioned me for this. That was in the back of my mind when working on this one. I am pleased with its out come. LOTS of layered glazing went into this one.

I am beginning to not like working on 5"x7" sizes. I am feeling to constrained, and one of the selling points for this size is time it takes to paint them. However, I get hung up and focusing on details, and those details take me the same amount of time on 8"x10" paintings. I am considering no longer offer sizes below 8"x10" (other then conbadges). If I do cancel that size, I will adjust my prices a little to make 8"x10" more appealing to my customers, but its just a thought at this moment.

Media: Acrylic on Masonite

Very nice texturing and lighting. I like the choice of background color.
