I'm standing on the summit of Mt Washington, 6,288 ft above sea level.
It's August 16th, the height of summer, at 40 minutes past noon.
And it is 43.2 degrees F (6.2C).
Oh, did I mention the winds are currently gusting at 33.5mph (54kph) so we're looking at a windchill of 29F (-1.6C)
This is why they advise visitors (and hikers of tall peaks) to bring warm clothes, even if it's summer.
Me? I'm a werewolf, I have an astral coat of fur to protect me.
OK, fine, fine. But I do have a layer of adipose and a good tolerance for cold.
