My new Workspacesss

Rotarr

Sorry for the bad quality X_X I don't have a better cam.
But anyway, wanted to show my new Workspaces!

Since we moved I have TWO now. One for traditional stuff (and crafting in general) and one for my computer and office-stuff. I always wanted to do that because I HATE to come close to my tablet with paint. I'm not a "messy" artist, who loves to smear paint all over the place. At least not where my computer is XD I also don't eat at my computer-place btw. I'm pretty picky about that XD
And my traditional workspace has not much stuff standing around, every thing is stored in boxed below so there is always space to start a new project. And I found this AWESOME drawing-board at bösner yesterday, that you can tilt! So handy. I really recommend that thing :>

Yeaaaaay. All i need now is time to draw o_o uh.

P.S.: If you care, here is the A3 size Sergal-Portrait i have on my drawingboard there (again, shitty quality...sorry ^^; )

Your tablet: does it work with the mouse or a digital pen?

I've one seen comic-strip artists working on comps with a digitally sensitive screen. Idunno the price of such an equipment, though :/

The first screen on the left has a digital sensitive screen - this is my tablet, a wacom cintiq 22HD and it works with a pen :)
It is rather expensive sadly, so I'm very careful with it XD

how's the colour balance on it? I was lucky enough to get my hands on one of the older Cintiq 21s, but it had depressingly low range of colour and constrast... to the point where I'd need to move images over to a second monitor and re-balance it all in photoshop to get it to look right.

REALLY hope they've fixed that D:

That's awesome!... I think such an investment will be unavoidable when I'll start to colorize a fantasy comics I'm drawing (outside of the furry thing).
I guess I'll HAVE to open commissions then... :/

Too clean & neat. You need to mess it up a bit to be home.

Actually...this is how i live. But what will be messy and full soon is the magnetic-board in the background. I love these boards and I put EVERYTHING on them. But the rest of my place is almost always clean like that. Can't help it. I can't stand chaos and stuff all over the place. No room to think.

Wow, I seem to thrive on chaos. I'm scrupulous with my chemistry but everything else is a jumble.

        • Link

I have my places for chaos XD But I can't have chaos when I need to get things done. I constantly loose things if i don't sort. I'm also a hoarder....I LOVE STUFF!!

    And pretty

Excellent setup for both areas! So neat and tidy too. ^_^ That ought to help immensely with getting projects rolling. Link to the pic doesn't work though for some reason.

I can sooo understand you, it's nice to have more space for being creative ^^ I wish you good luck with everything and that you can paint so much more nice things :333

Wow! ouo it looks so clean and neat! I'm so happy for you Rotar. Cx

screams!! I have been looking for a drawing board exactly like that one for ages! Could you tell me the brand name/specifics so I might find it hopefully? I desperately need an adjustable surface like that, just a simple tilting board.

    That tablet, so jealous!~
I hope to own one someday, along with one of those awesome tilted drawing boards. 0u0

forgot: What version of the cintiq do you use?

      • Link

        It's a 22HD :> And I'm very happy with that thing XD
