firefeathers did this delightfully blue and white dreamy sky piece of Rooth'ragon, just finished today. She had originally done a piece called Out of the Blue, and though it came out excellent, she made some comment about how she needed more practice with dragons and with perspective, and I think she wasn't a hundred percent happy with the angle she chose. So I said, okay, how about doing the same picture but with reverse-angle, and she took me up on it. Though it's only been a few months, I think she may have gotten distinctly better since then! Look at all that texture and detail, especially in the tail! BTW, this is one of those pieces that started out flipped horizontally from what you see, but later was flipped for checking shapes and she decided to keep it that way and keep going. Neat!

And I love how these wings came out, they're just excellent. That plane, btw, is an F-22. I know, I know, it's impossible, that was canceled .. but it is, ok, so sue me. ;)

Totally thrilled with both pieces. Keep a watch on firefeathers, she'll open for commissions some day soon, and you'll wanna get one. ^_^
