Aka "The Sloppy Joe" outside of Northern New Jersey as we have a deli-type sandwich called Sloppy Joes as well. This is how I make them and every time its like sex in the mouth. This recipe will feed 2 - 4 people and is a slow cook recipe which will take 45 - 60 mins or so to make FYI.

1 lb of 80% or 85% lean ground beef

1 Red Onion

1 Green Bell Pepper

A handful of Garlic cloves (chopped)

1 Cup of Huntz Tomato Ketchup

1 teaspoon ground Ginger

2 teaspoons ground Paprika

3 teaspoons dark brown sugar

1 teaspoon Goldens Spicy Yellow mustard

Worcestershire Sauce

1) Start off by chopping your garlic, pepper, and onion then throwing it into a sauce pan with some oil on medium heat. Sprinkle on some salt and get those veggies nice and soft practically caramelizing them.

2) Once the veggies are soft throw on your ground beef. Be sure to chop it up into little pieces using your spatula and mix everything together. While that's browning make your sauce.

3) To make our sauce combine the ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, ginger, and paprika in a bowl or measuring cup. Then add your worcestershire sauce to taste. I typically put in roughly anywhere from 2 - 4 teaspoons.

4) Once the beef has been browned strain off a little of the juices. Do NOT strain it all off as there's a lot of flavor in that juice. You just don't want it to end up soupy. Then add your sauce to the pan with the beef & veggies and mix it all up trying to get everything coated in the sauce. Add a little salt & pepper to taste.

5) Let it simmer with a lid on the pan and occasionally stir the mix for 30 minutes on that medium heat. Take this time to do the dishes. :P

6) After 30 minutes take it off the heat, grab some bread or rolls, slap a few big spoon fulls on the bread, crack yourself open a beer, and enjoy your Manwich!
