Some of you might remember me uploading this a while back. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/13883648/ It was a picture from a couple years ago that I took while Slalom skiing. (I didn't use a more recent pic because I'm using the same outfit and equipment today and the photo that was uploaded is about as photogenic a position as I'm going to get. A newer one would just have been the same thing with a different timestamp.) Ever sense uploading it, this little thought was running through my head. "A furry version of this would be cool".
A couple weeks back, I had over-estimated a travel expense and, as a result, had about $30 of expendable income that was ready to spend. Because this was around Megaplex, a lot of artists were closed on commissions that weren't explicitly for that convention. So I put a journal up asking who had commission slots open in that price range. kittybird replied and the rest is history.
Funny story by the way. For the longest time I had no idea why artists wouldn't draw "watersports". Until someone explained what the term meant to artists, I was really confused. I honestly believed that the only definition for the term was one involving a boat, lifejacket, and some kind of ski or wakeboard. If I knew earlier, I probably would have gotten this sooner.
EDIT:
Oh yeah, about the title. If you can't find me and it's summer, then there's a good chance this is what I'm up to. Not all of us nerds can be basement dwellers.
