So, a couple of months back I was watching a livestream and the artist was throwing around some ideas for a new kind of commission. One of the ideas was for a $1 sketchbook page where the artist got artistic freedom. Well, I was one of the guys in chat that kept insisting that it sounded like a good idea. So when zaezar posted up a journal advertising that he had opened up for that kind of commission, I went in and bought a few. Before I had actually made the purchase I had committed to five, but soon figured out that I don't have five pages worth of characters. So, I went over to a skype chat and asked who wanted one as a gift? Anyways, because of that there are four others in the batch that came out with this one.

As to what's going on in the picture:
So, in a separate livestream Zae might have let it slip that he was originally going to draw me holding a sign with a picture of a potato. (It's an inside joke) But instead, I just hold signs for reasons. :P The bottom part, I guess kind of spawned from a few EVE Online related commissions that I had gotten in the past. Zae took a shot in the dark guessing that sense I'm involved in a newbie-centric organization that friendly fire incidents happen more often than people would like. Strangely he wasn't far off. The group I'm with, Brave Newbies, actually has this thing you can download to customize your overview. (It just clicks some boxes that are available in-game if you know how to find them.) That overview pack is handed out to literally everyone who joins specifically to make it harder for friendly fire situations to happen.

I really like how it turned out. To be honest, it's more than I expected for a $1 sketch.
