60 Sec Sketches (critique requested)

The main goal of this was to draw the simplest form.

may look a bit like stick-figures, but they each have the key elements in anatomy.

  1. Go to http://www.posemaniacs.com
  2. Click the 30 Second Drawing link.
  3. Set the timer to 60 Seconds.
  4. Draw the main parts of anatomy; Head, Shoulders, Spine, and Hips.
  5. Add legs and arms.
  6. With the remaining time, quickly sketch in some muscle mas.

I sat there for 30ish minutes just drawing. I found it quite enjoyable actually.

Not bad at all. What you should do is, after doing this excercise for ~30 minutes, find a position and study it. Map it out, add some mass... Everything EXCEPT extreme detail since you're working on poses and anatomy. :3 Again, great job!

ive been doing a similar thing on another site which uses random stock photos; but its very difficult to practice solid anatomy from because i tend to go straight to the outline and draw from there, rather than looking at shapes & the barebones poses :0 this way seems much much better/more helpful though!
