Bird Problems: Trade with Koreonn (story in description) (critique requested)

Writing trade with the lovely Koreonn! I hope you like it!

The burning sun was high ahead the land, a bare blue sky above save for a few scrawny cirrus clouds that streaked the infinite sky.

It was quiet, save for the twittering of small birds hiding from view of intruders, and the wind, whispering its hypnotic chant across the whole land. It was the start of autumn on Aesyr.

The land below was merely a nearly bare forest clearing to a field full of tall, flowing grass that seemed to extend for hundreds of miles, seemingly to eternity. It was littered with the dry crisp leaves that had fallen from the trees, their job complete for the passing season.

However, there was one soul out here, a chimeric female cydroid, who of course was half hidden by the grass, making her way through.

Trotting, navigating the tall grass was Koreonn. She had left to be by herself in this lonely place to enjoy some time with herself (and possibly nap here if she wanted). The beginning of the day was rather a active one: planning, scouting out areas, and almost getting into a nasty fight with a couple of GENSEC members with her party.

All she wanted to was to relax and enjoy what little time there was in the day.

The female cydroid soon made her way to a small hill. Seeing no threat around and smiling to herself, made her way to the hill, where the grass seemed a lot shorter than their brethren below.

A cool wind now blew through her mane, sort of ruffling it up as she headed towards the top of the hill. Her charges glowed faintly amidst the grass.

However, before she made her way to the top, a small chirping noise startled her.

Kore whipped around, baring her teeth and fur raised at first, only to see no threat.

It was a bird.

It was a tiny brown and white songbird to be exact, who was looking up at her with its beady little eyes. The bird did not seemed frightened at all by the giant creature looking down upon it.

It ruffled its feathers as she gazed upon her little stalker. It was obviously not afraid of the cydroid what so ever.

The bird chirped again, waddling to her paws and perching beside them.

However, Kore did not seem quite amused by the little creature. Dismissing the bird, she turned around and went to the hilltop.

Flicking her tail, she trotted uphill, ignoring the little bird that waddled behind her.

She only walked a couple of feet up that hill until she heard the little songbird chirp again.

This time around, she felt little bird feet on her back.

Angrily turning her head around, she glared at the little fluffball.

"Stop following me!" Came a hiss from her lips.

It didn't budge, looking back at her with its small dark eyes and twittered a bit.

Frustrated and annoyed, Kore shook the bird off, only for it to fly right back onto her.

The bird fluffed up again, this time fluttering to her right shoulder. It tilted its head at her in a friendly manner.

"What do you not get, you little shit? GET OFF!" She shouted, pissed off royally that the bird wouldn't get off of her shoulder.

Still staying there, the bird twittered back as if in response to her.

However, she continued to shoo the bird off several times, failing to rid herself of the feathered menace.

Finally when she shook it off again, the bird, looking rather defeated and somewhat sad, it fluttered off into the tall grass, not twittering nor breaking into song, but looking back at the cydroid who was still on the hill.

Relieved and free of her little pest, she laid down where she stood, gazing at the land ahead of the hill, the sun was still high ahead, casting its warming light upon the land and its creatures despite the cool wind.

As she kept looking on, her eyelids started to get heavy. The quiet wilderness was starting to make her rather sleepy.

Letting out a drawn out yawn, Koreonn closed her eyes and slowly drifted to sleep.

It was at least four or five hours later, that Kore had awoke, feeling an itch behind her ear.

She got up to only find out a bigger problem.

She had maybe 30 birds perching on her, unmoving even as she got up.

And the one bird she tried to get rid of before, was calmly preening her left ear, tweeting triumphantly at its success.

The bird now fluttered to the end of her muzzle, looking now at her, with what seemed like a smile on the bird's beak

All that was heard now in the area was a loud frustrated cydroid, cursing at the top of her lungs.

But the birds stayed perched on Koreonn......
