Model-Sketch - Robot Boy

redregon

So this is what has been taking the lion's share of the time for today... Getting the rough model started for a fund-raising project I'm working on. I wanted to go with the "Mighty Robot Boy" look but I added some different details and dropped those head-spikes... They didn't really "work" for me in the modeling process...

And I may still fiddle with the proportions a bit but this is a process. This was also the reason why I've been spending as much time as I have been on the coding/rigging elements for getting stretchy bones into Unity that are a lot cleaner than the previous methods I had up until that point. This one is going to need a little bit of squash and stretch to it for when I have it in the asset store for sale. Yes, those are plain cylinders on his arms... I did say it was a rough, after all.

And don't worry, game people... That one is still there... I just need to get some revenue coming in and this seems like the most logical way of doing it.

Its looking good so far, keep it up :3
I am making a game as well but my modeling skills need to improve, so, keep working on your modeling skills as that will sell your game :3

Thanks! As with all things artistic, improvement will come with practice. And to be fair taking a look at your gallery you do have a decent amount of skill so (even though busty women aren't really my cup-o-tea) keep at it!

And hey, I'm a rigger by trade so if you need a rig done send me a message. I want to get practice in with working with other characters as well as I'm trying to work on some tools to help automate the process... It isn't going to be something where I can guarantee a quick turnaround time (and if it's for a commercial project there's going to be some negotiation in there for compensation of course... Got to wear that businessman hat after all) but still, the offer stands.

        Thank you :3

Unfortunately I am actually able to Rig and Animate models myself, but thank you for the offer :3
