I made these today, following the instructions of Adams Media's The Unofficial Harry Potter Cookbook. They probably don't look perfect since the flour on the sides slid off when I was trying to fry them. Anyway, after they were done, I ate them and the tomato slices were still as soft as before; the fried coatings were a bit crispy though and were the best part of it. I ate them with a buttered toast.

I have been meaning to give these a try, I saw one where this fella made em and he cut his slices really thin and I think he used green tomatoes so they were firm. They looked like chips when he fried em.
