I picked up Blender again for the first time in years, and this is what I came up with (with the assistance of tutorials to get me back in shape)
I've gotta say... I actually missed working in Blender. Sure, the UI is intimidating as all hell, but once you get used to where things are and the general workflow, it's really quite powerful and good.
Also, if anyone wants to say "BLENDER SUCKS! YOU SHOULD USE MAYA/3DSMAX/ETC" the next thing out of your mouth had better be "And I'm going to give to you freely the $4000 it takes to purchase that software" because frankly I'm done with pirating software. If Company X doesn't want to price their software in a cost-effective manner, and in such a way that I can BUY it, and not RENT it, then I'm not wasting my time and money on their product. :3
