DAY 25: artist's freedom by Radical-Alex

DAY 25: artist's freedom

Radical-Alex

DAY 25 OF OC-TOBER: Vanida (Romero)

Through art, she started to heal, and also through art, she discovered herself.
An identity once ripped to make her submissive and conditioned to love without any sense to know better, now taken back and made stronger than before.
To let herself be bold, to be heard. If not through her voice then through her art.

She learned more about herself through every messy sketches and paintings with intentions but no directions at first.
She started to grow after being taught techniques and given her personal tools, which she then used to hone her skills.
Hours upon hours, of thinking quietly, and painting loudly, and looking back on each piece, either with dissatisfaction or bits of pride.

What matters most, and as Vanida smiles on, is that she’s free; free now to do what she wants. And she wants to be an artist.
