DAY 11: his decision by Radical-Alex

DAY 11: his decision

Radical-Alex

DAY 11 OF OC-TOBER: Zachary “Zach” Zakai

It was his decision to go against his parents’ wishes and pursue being an engineer instead of a doctor.

It was his decision to work tirelessly through those long nights to catch the attention of Cheryl Rudakov of Cyber Tech.

It was his decision to then accept her offer and to join Cyber Tech as an engineer, to become new blood in an environment constantly advancing technology.

It was his decision to join up with Kaden on his self-appointed missions to dig deeper into BUSH and American Technology and Warfare.

It was his decision to continue to follow despite the anxiety that stirs in his stomach, of something dreadful about to happen.

And now, it was his decision to either return back to his life before, now with one arm, and his dream lost forever, or take on a mechanical arm and pick himself back up.

His decision was clear. No matter what, however, nothing could replace the phantom pain and the trauma he never thought he had to see. Of his own arm being severed just inches away from him as he bled out.

None of his decisions were suppose to lead to this.

Geeze, your really not helping my career options for hope are you.

But you know pain and personality very well in your images despite how scary this was to face. Now this story was a bit more longer and more confusing to read with real content put in here.

When this apple pie dream of Engineering was told all I was in the aftermath was some freak dangerous new explosive system being made that ended this highnote. Reminds me a bit of Metal gear, body replacement tech and people dreaming still after being shell shocked thunderstorm hurt.

Shit this stuff is deep.......I thought Shaw shank was sad but this is all those hospital stories of honorable discharges for me, but you got your highnote making this personal and showing a danger it in. That takes stones to do to make your fans uncomfortable and to be vaccinated by such visuals.

Ahhh, thank you! As much as I love my characters, I don't go easy on 'em like poor Zach here. Truth be told, I don't have the scene fully planned out on how exactly he lost his arm. There's going to be a few drafts and revisions (Inner Blue is basically a skeleton of concepts right now) but I do aim to develop it with an emotional impact. To re-adjust with a new mechanical arm and a still traumatized brain, and pushing through with renewed passion for what he loves to do. It helped that his boss, Cheryl, also shares sympathetic pain as him, also losing a limb, but she gives him that fighting spirit to not let this destroy him.

Little background info there! Your comments are always thought provoking. I enjoy reading 'em!
