A slightly simpler but updated ref of Midnight- this time her proportions are finally correct and it makes me happy, not too long and a bit chubby~
Midnight is a tad larger than a draft horse but is much stronger than one, capable of carrying up to 400lb for short distances during flight. Her wings are more adapted towards maneuverability but distance flight is not an issue for her. She is not very fast compared to other dragons within her realm, though. She is capable of flipping a vehicle or something of similar weight with her head and neck alone. Her skull is very thick dorsally and her horns are commonly used as a battering ram. Horns grow with age, her species gets it's first full curl of the horns around approximately thirty years of age.
Her spaded tail is quite hard and sharpened along it's exterior edges- it grows and sloughs into sharpened edges continuously, much like a cat's claws. Her tail is not very flexible, it can swing left and right somewhat widely but is not very flexible up and down except for near the tip- the spade can be swung like an axe and can easily fell trees 6 inches in diameter in a single swing.
She has three fingers and toes on each hand/foot with dulled thick claws from walking on them. Her hands are somewhat useful in terms of prehending things but they do not near the manual dexterity of humans simply due to their size. She likes art but this obviously becomes an issue when the only tools available to her are meant for smaller hands.
She is mostly piscivorous and enjoys the occasional fruit and vegetables, red meat is a rare meal of hers and she refuses to eat birds (other than "stupid" poultry) due to having a family of crows as companions.
Pretty friendly but prefers mostly to spend her time alone. Spent time as a combat medic/aerial combatant. She has had many friends die from the war, and subsequently has grown to avoid conflict. Her sole human friend is a young girl named Aeryn, whom was her rider during the aforementioned war. She now lives alone in a temperate forest, her home is a shallow cave partially hidden by a waterfall. She loves flying and swimming in nearby bodies of water. Aeryn visits occasionally to supply her with books, art supplies and various baubles.
Midnight is persistently infected with a rare bacteria that causes adrenal excess in times of stress- leading to extreme strength and aggression if it is "activated". Her eyes constantly glow a faint blue color that is only visible in very dark conditions, but when the bacteria becomes active- it is bright enough to be noticable during broad daylight. It causes extreme exhaustion after "activation" and can cause insomnia- leading to her "Dreamstalker" epithet. Wandering around at night, her glowing eyes have scared more than one unfortunate person.
