Old vent I decided to finish tonight, original version had syringes on his back, and butterflies fluttering about. But the Eclipse/halo idea was better.

Yep! Plus - I got far too lazy to paint glass and liquids.

I agree, I really like the simple elegance of this. It draws attention to the character's expression whereas otherwise the attention would've been on the syringes, I think.
