Been highkey obsessing over Josh recently and made this art file WAY too big, let's see if it's even readable on this site XDDD

That answers my question lmao, F in the chat for barely readable text-

  • Link

I have no idea what the context of this is...but I'm intrigued.

Also by clicking on the image it takes you to a "full-screen-zoom-in" page so the text is easily readable.

Also-also...the way "Sigjaw" is just standing there and saying "Hello" makes my think less of "I want to play a game"...and more this: https://youtu.be/9QjYhrSo1Vk

Oh, good to know it can still be read, thanks!

Most of these scenes are from one of my fav video games, Until Dawn, but the Sigjaw one is from a really funny fandub of the game. XD Basically, Josh's sisters got killed after his friends pulled a prank on them, so he blames them for their death and gathers them all together on their death anniversary to revenge-prank them (he went REALLY hard, making them think they were going to be brutally murdered and shit) but he was never ACTUALLY going to hurt them - There are monsters in the area that nobody knew about and they're what actually attacks some of the characters ;P (Depending on how you play, everybody can live, it's just very hard to get the "everyone lives" ending, and yOU CAN'T SAVE JOSH NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO WHICH REALLY PISSES ME OFF BECAUSE HE SUFFERED THE FUCKING MOST AND HE DESERVED A BETTER ENDING WAY MORE THAN HIS DICKWEED FRIENDS LMAO-)
(Also he's schizophrenic and the death of his sisters made him REALLY crack, but I like this game in that they don't straight-up villainize him for being mentally ill, like, the way it's done makes it clear he's just in despair and needs help and he's still a good guy when it comes down to it, his whole story is just so freaking sad and i love hiiiim sobs)
The fandub makes a lot of funny Saw jokes lmao, I'm actually working on a doodle page of fandub jokes too, I'll probably post that here too when that's done XD Snapcube is too iconic lol

      "Hello"
      "Goodbye"
      Fucking mood, honestly XDDDD

        Ah, I see.

You might like this cyberpunk murder-mystery game called "A.I. The Somnium Files." It's like L.A. Noire but in the future and in Japan, and all the alternate paths it takes you on will melt your brain until it all comes together in the TRUE ending.

I freaking LOVE multiple-path ending games, I will definitely save this and check it out!! :D

It's also REALLY dark and filled to the brim with raunchy humour.

            • Link

Well hey, so is Until Dawn, so I'm sure I'll be fine with it XDDD

            • Link

              Me: clicks on episode 1
Me, immediately: CHUNSOFT DID THIS GAME??????????????????????

Red rescue team's looking hella dark these days, huh? XDDDDDDD

There's already a sequel that's planned to be released this month too and WeirdCollector might stream it after he uploads all the episodes of the first game to YouTube.

                  I see!

                • Link

Funnily enough, the way Renju was found is pretty much identical to one of the possible Until Dawn deaths, face caught in a giant meat hook XDD

Is Jackson cool with game recommendations? The creators of Until Dawn actually came out with a new game called "The Quarry" that's really popular to do blind playthroughs of right know; I've been getting a LOT of small channels that I've never heard of before recommended to me for Quarry playthroughs! It might help boost his channel a bit? Plus it's a fun game in general, it's basically a parody of summer camp horror while also being a horror game XD (Though it's not that scary in my opinion, tbh - can get a bit gorey if you get characters killed, but not scary to the level of stuff like Little Nightmares or Until Dawn (I would actually recommend Until Dawn itself, it's also still very popular despite being 7 years old, but it's a PS4 exclusive, so if he doesn't have a PS4 he can't play that anyway))
They both have a lot of mystery factor to them too, moreso in Until Dawn than The Quarry, but yeah, I think he might enjoy it, idk? I don't wanna be one of those assholes that goes "HEY, PLAY THIS GAME" if he doesn't like recommendations though, so thought I'd ask you first. XD I'm mostly just thinkin' it might help get his numbers up tho since it's pretty trendy on Youtube right now

He's always looking for new games to stream on Twitch (almost all of his YouTube playthroughs are actually his Twitch streams edited into half-hour blocks), so you can certainly mention it to him. He's live on Twitch right now as I'm typing this.

Alas, he says horror isn't his genre, sadly XD Ah well, I tried lol

                  • Link

Yeah, we prefer games that may have some horror elements but are more action-adventure or mystery/problem-solving at their core.

Speaking of, heard of the game he's streaming now? It's quite hilarious. :P

                    • Link

Ah, that's valid - The Quarry isn't too heavy on the problem-solving, it's more narrative/action-focused, but I'd definitely say Until Dawn is mystery/problem-solving at its core; there are TONS of clues and tools throughout that you need to find in order to piece all the mysteries together while also keeping your relationships high enough amongst the characters that nobody stabs each other in the back later on XD It is horror, but the core of it is definitely mystery in my opinion! That's why I love seeing a bunch of different playthroughs, to see people's reactions to everything ejtstjskyskysk tbh it's probably why blind playthroughs of that one are still popular despite it being kinda old, now that i think about it

I actually have, surprisingly! Those style of games aren't my thing personally, but Bethani owns that one, so I do know it to some extent! :P

The issue I have with so many pure horror games is that the game-play is almost entirely "run, hide, get jump-scarred" over and over. I prefer games where you can actively fight or outsmart the monsters and enemies.

It's why I have no interest in the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise. All you do is crawl around in ducts and try not to get caught. There's no "fight back" option as far as I can tell.

                        • Link

Oh that is HELLA valid XDDD I never liked FNAF either, both the art style and gameplay style where just kinda bleh. That's probably the main complaint I'd have with Until Dawn too, that game is jam-packed with jumpscares to a point where it kind of became a meme, lmao. Animal encounter? JUMPSCARE! Running into another character? JUMPSCARE! Finding the actual monsters? JUMPSCARES GALORE LMFAO
It was almost comical, but still kinda annoying XD The Quarry definitely has it beat in that regard; it only has like one jumpscare in the entire game, if you could even call it that? Like, it's WAY better at creating a slow buildup of fear and tension rather than cheap jumpscares all the time. It's probably better in the monster-fighting aspect too, there's actually a LOT of strategy involved in fighting them to the point where it's basically impossible to get an optimal first run/saving the highest number of characters without prior experience. Some people find that kinda thing annoying too tho, which I get, I just find it really interesting and fun personally lol. But I think Until Dawn has a way stronger story and mystery factor overall which is why I still prefer that one, I think (and at the end of the day, it all just comes down to personal taste, ofc!)

Disclaimer: I don't work for or volunteer for Weasyl.

The FAQ claims that the limits are 10 megabytes for images, and 15 megabytes for MP3 and Flash (RIP). That information may be a little bit out of date, though.

Looking at the actual code, the limits are currently 50 megabytes for JPG, PNG, or GIF; 15 megabytes for MP3 and Flash; 10 megabytes for PDF and HTML (stories), and 2 megabytes for plain text (stories). These are powers-of-two megabytes (1,048,576) instead of powers-of ten megabytes (1,000,000), so you actually get a little more than 50,000,000 bytes for an image - 52,428,800 to be exact. :)

The upload code seems to only check the file size. It doesn't appear to care about the pixel size; you aren't limited to 1280 x 1280 or similar. I suspect there might be a real high pixel limit in the code somewhere, like maybe 10,000 x 10,000 or more, just to protect against corrupted or extremely huge files. I can't point to the line in the code that enforces that limit, though.

    I hope this helps!
