This guy is the main antagonist in my Hawksaw stories along with Worlds Darker Still. He is incredibly powerful and incredibly childish. It's what happens when you give a fool the whole world.
His name is Alexander Lloyd Harte but he goes by Knives.

I know how all that went down, but I haven't written the overview of it down anywhere. In his world (which is inhabited by MAYBE thirty something sentient beings, tops) he's the nastiest. He has half of them cowed into submission by fear and things like torture and mind control. The rest are slowly building up to overthrow him and trying to reach out to those he's broken and give them the courage to fight back.

The childish part works so well on villains! Of course I have no idea how big and bad he is as an antagonist but power+childish, possibly narsistic behaviour works so well together when written well. At the same time is so damn frustrating to look at ("How did this guy get in power?! Why do you guys follow him?!"), but because it is also seen in real life so many times, having them in literature and art makes one have more empathy on the protagonist.
