You should definitely draw them more! If you need to self-motivate, just look at it this way... In a world where so many people are drawing fan art, somebody's gotta create the next thing for people to draw fan art of.
Not sure if that's helpful but that's pretty much the answer I give when asked why I focus so much on my own characters and ideas.
