In an early script I wrote, Chilla's uncle is tasked with raising his niece After Chilla's parents Die from carbon monoxide poisoning in there house. Chilla almost dies herself from the toxic fumes but she is later resesitate & saved by her uncle who uses magical herbs from La-La land to heal Chilla from the poison gas. Drosselmeyer being the only one she had left in the world After learning of her parents demise an orphan Chilla stays with her uncle in his annex above his toy store.

DROSSELMEYER: I'll never be able to replace your mother & father. But I'll do my best.

CHILLA * sobs & embraces her uncle crying.*

DROSSELMEYER: I promise I will take very special care of you my precious child.

For some reason though I scratched this idea. I don't know why I scratched this idea it seem like a good one at the time.

Drosselmeyer was the reason Chilla found out about La-la land & was the one who helped her meet the love of her life Cain. Chilla's uncle has a very close tides with Cain, Damien & La-La land and he encourages Chilla's relationship with Cain. Drosselmeyer also attends his nieces coronation & is always there to help & support his niece through out her life. Albert Drosselmeyer's relationship with his niece is very enjoyable to see. Chilla's father was down right prejudice of Cain & the Aryans so Drosselmeyer accepting Chilla's association with the Nazi prince & his Aryan followers was a good thing & integrate into there Jewish family.

In Chilla's first quest to La-La land it is revealed that Drosselmeyer actually knows Damien & Cain & has traveled to the fairy lands many times in his youth. After Drossemeyer gives Cain to Chilla as a Hanukkah present in the form of a cursed nutcracker toy.

After Chilla breaks the curse upon Cain, saves the fairy lands from a tyrant mouse king & reunites the royal brothers Damien & Cain Chilla learns from Damien that she had inherited her magical abilitys from her uncle Drosselmeyer whom Chilla finds out is a sorcerer who use to be a former student of his & offers to help Chilla tame her special gift.

DAMIEN: I don't think I ever seen anyone with your rare ability's not since Albert Drosselmeyers.But you need to learn to tame these ability's through focus study. I would be honored to make you my personal student at my school of magic.
