"Perhaps a life worth living" Pt 2 - Days 1 and 2

This story was originally from a series of short stories set in an alternate future setting known as 'Hybrid World'.

A human man and a Hybrid girl are forced together under less than favorable circumstances in a place of oppression and control. Can they move beyond a terrible beginning and learn to understand and trust one another?

In this part, our protagonists attempt to come to terms with their shared situation, discovering that communication is key to finding some small level of understanding.
