What lead to this? Well, I was bored and trying to figure out Rarity.

The plan was to simply draw her working at her sewing machine. Instead, things went as they did with a similar pic I did of Big Mac a few months before and she ended up looking at an oddly potato-shaped stone. I took that and flipped it to this idea of her actually cutting the stones she needs instead of finding perfectly cut/polished gems in the ground.

Inking her hair was a pain but the coloring went rather quickly. Had a tough time matching her palette in CMYK. Thankfully, the hex codes worked better and didn’t shift nearly as much as I had expected.
