I used to play City of Heroes, before some short-sighted moron axed it for a tax write-off.

Not that I'm bitter, or anything.

Anyway, I had a whole slew of characters before the end, and this is one of them.

This is the Gift of Flame. She, as her name suggests, could generate and project fire. She wasn't a blaster, though, she was a corruptor. What that meant was that she didn't do loads of damage, but she had support powers, which were also fire based. So she could set both enemies and allies on fire!

In the words of Sir Hammerlock, "Win/win/win, as they say. No one says that. I say it."

Anyways, she's another one of my oldest characters. Way early on, I was seriously thinking about getting rid of her, since she wasn't being that interesting to play. Then my boyfriend gave me a pair of wings to add in the costume editor. I put them on, and it changed everything! Suddenly her whole look just clicked with me, and I think that's the point that she stopped being 'a fire corruptor', and turned into an actual character. I've got lots of notes on her backstory, too. Ironically, I came up with her whole origin story after CoH got canceled, since I was seriously thinking of bringing her to a super hero themed MUCK or somesuch.
