She seemed nice, at first. She offered to give you a tour of the Johto Safari Zone as she was clearing trash on the side of a road. You were new to the place and she seemed friendly. You both walked along the side of a toll road. It all seemed fairly innocuous.

As you talked, you thought it quirky that she changed her name to sound similar to a particular animal, but her knowledge of it and her love of Pokémon wildlife just seemed like a professional passion, or maybe an enthusiastic student. There was something about her wide-eyed stare as she grinned.

Then, as you glanced away, she reached for that ball in her pocket. Something changed suddenly. Well... something obviously changed, but... this was something else. Something about the tone of the situation. You were shocked and in a state of panic. She was anything but. It wasn't so much the sudden transformation from touching the thrown out ball, it was her particular reaction... her stare... as she blinked less and smiled wider.

"Mmm... you need to calm down. Help me unbutton this silly jacket. There's a wild animal trapped inside and it's suddenly so tight!"

The creature she was attached to started walking backwards toward you, and she continued to churn out facts about the crushing jaw strength of Girafarig's tail. And then she nuzzled her head right up against your neck. You couldn't stand it. You voiced your concern, wondering if maybe you should both venture to a Pokémon center for help with the changes.

"Gosh, you think I've changed? This is just what I do every other week!"

You wanted to say something. Or to run. You had two left feet at your right side. You felt so weird. Dizzy. Tight in the... chest?
She undid your zipper and button with her teeth and suddenly you could breathe again. The smell of fresh green grass was nonexistent. You knew why, but you weren't sure you wanted to know how.

She blinked and smiled. "Calm down, enjoy it, and trot with me..." she giggled, "the tour doesn't start until we high tail it over to the Safari Zone."

You weren't sure how much longer you could stand the puns.
