Kayla was born and raised in the sophisticated city of Canterlot. Her family of her mother, her father and younger sister, often stood out from the others due to the way they acted differently from other ponies. From mid autumn to the beginning of spring her grandparents would live with them, but the rest of the year was spent at their home. At a young age Kayla was admitted to Princess Celestia's School for gifted unicorns after creating the colour change spell and changing the colours of over half of canterlot accidentally, lets just say a lot of ponies weren't to happy that day.

As time went on she grew taller, stronger and a better magic user but as years past Canterlot wasn't as great as it was made to be. When you like to explore it makes living in one spot that you rarely leave kinda boring. When around the age of 12 she found a book about the Everfree Forest and many more bizarre things, this made her imagination sore with new possibilities so on rare trips to Ponyville she would wander off in search of adventure.

Around the age of 18 she decided to take part in an art school to widen her knowledge when she first met David, her special some pony. They shared a special connection that sparked one year later after reuniting. Not much is known about David's family besides that he has a mom, dad and 3 brothers. By age 19 it was time to leave and start her own home, but where? David had mentioned word of a new town slowly forming and that the land was cheap, so she set off to make her home there. She picked the spot to start and planned the layout of her home, but not just her home, with so much land available she took the opportunity to set in motion her own business.

More time passed while she eagerly waited for her home and business was to be made so she spent some time in Ponyville. She gained many friends there since before she moved, besides a few ponies, she didn't have many friends. Now she's lived in her home and been running her business, The Cozy Cave, very well. The scar on the left side of her chest was from a surgery she had to have something removed, it turned out to be nothing but the scar still remains. But you can say her creativity has grown to new heights? After feeling down about keeping her special some pony on the ground she created her own pair of magic powered wings! Such a creative young mare, who knows what else she will come up with. Only time will tell.
