A simple job, at least Aaron thought that. All he had to do was get a chip. He didn't think anyone else would be involved. Easy. Simple. Not.

In the alleyway, Aaron could see decrepit soul, slumped against the wall of the walls. The gentle rain from above, though meaning nothing to Aaron, meant horrible chills for this elderly woman.

By all means, Aaron knew he could just walk over this person to get to the entrance he needed to get to. If he simply closed his eyes... and stepped over this person, he wouldn't have to interact with them. But he knew he couldn't.

The woman was holding a piece of wet cardboard above her head, trying to block as much rain as she could from her already damp clothes. She looked weak, as if she had been in this pose for hours. Aaron saw her eyes. They were wet, not from the rain, but from the tears that seemed to have welled in her eyes.

Aaron bit his lip. Taking a deep breath, he stepped forward. "M'am, are you okay?"

The woman jumped, her eyes suddenly widening as she was lulled out of her thoughts. "Oh! Y-yes. Yes! Don't mind me. Just trying to... get out of... the..." her voice trailed off as she tried to wipe a tear from her eye.

Aaron sighed and sat down next to her. "So there's this guy. Owes me a favor. Got rid of a bunch of vandals that were scaring away his business," Aaron looked to the woman and smiled, "so you see, he runs a living complex. It ain't fancy, but it's got the basics one needs."

The woman merely stared. Aaron could see she was confused.

"I gotta head inside there," Aaron pointed toward the door at the end of the alley, "real quick. But I'll be right back out, okay?"

Without waiting for her to reply, Aaron got up and held out his hand. "Offer's only good for a month, though. After that, may have to do a bit of work for him -- if you can manage. If not, he'll work something out."
