Thunder Egg Geodes from my Sculpture Teacher 1

Two geodes I got at the time from my sculpture teacher. Most if not all the geodes he has are thunder eggs which I was happy he had some to spare. Thunder Eggs are pretty and they are interesting to look into how they are formed. Both of them were unopened when I got them so I was pretty excited to see what they would look like on the inside. I used the big saw at the lapidary society to open them (I prefer doing that than smashing them open since I feel like if I try to break them open then I would accidentally break more than I want). Both came out great and as you can see the top row have a bit of a hole in the pocket. When looking into the whole you can see tiny crystals inside that formed. Another thing you might notice is that the bottom one's colors show off more. That is because the bottom ones are wet with water, water helps bring out the color in stones and gives you an idea of what it will look like once it is polished.
