Back in early 2003, I registered for an account on the Something Awful forums at a time when the site had a subforum specifically for members of the furry fandom, a sort of gathering-spot meant to keep them all concentrated in one place so they wouldn't contaminate the other boards. Folks who'd been "outed" had their accounts set to only be able to post within that forum, but anyone else could still visit at their leisure. I mostly kept to myself, but some poking around in that particular board led to me making some off-site acquaintances through AIM names listed in user profiles, including one artist who self-identified at the time as a naked blue dragon. And that was how I met my girlfriend.

This "Blue Dragon"-inspired gift-art from her was based specifically on Toriyama's logo art for the game.
