IRt-3 Decarjuut by blazeVixen

IRt-3 Decarjuut

blazeVixen

The IRt-3 is Rrustam Vana’s most modern MBT, in service since c.365. it is also known as the Decarjuut, the name of a Vanaen mountain bear.

Pretty quick sketch, a little over 2 hours on this. Used one of my old renders as a base, so that saved quite a bit of time in building it up.

Looks awesome. I get kind of a T-34 meets M60 Patton vibe from it.

Thanks! It was designed on top of my old Type-43, so that's probably where the T-34 is showing through :)

I see. :D Though, interesting idea to take the Sheridan for inspiration on that T-43. Though I'll admit the allure of a 150mm+ gun on a light tank is, well, alluring, haha.

Interesting. You seem to often put that extended, shallow angle, on the track line ahead of the front idler wheels. does this mean that the terrain they operate on is particularly rough or uneven? Lacking on roads? Like the Design in general. very smooth and plausible.

It wasn't a particularly intentional design choice, but it fits in well enough; the Vanaen geography is essentially a large bowl of steppe and foothills surrounded by mountain ranges at the borders. The road infrastructure on the interior is fairly well developed, but there aren't a lot of roadways passing through the border regions—a deliberate measure by the Vanaens to make them more defensible. This thing would be expected to navigate rough and rocky mountain trails.
