Looking for Critque (critique requested)

Penwolf

I'm making this for an art contest. The goal is make the person's sona into a Death Knight from World of Warcraft, with first place winning WoW-related prizes or art from them.

In the image, she meant to be getting ready to fight and is sliding down a wall.

I am looking for constructive criticism on anything relating to what I have going on (pose, anatomy, etc). I am planning to change the skirt to pants though.

The figure itself is not bad. I'd focus on that connecting points between the inside of the legs and the pelvis; it looks a little detached (specifically her left leg. Also, her left leg is twisting in a way that isn't possible; the foot wouldn't be sideways like that. I'd also lengthen the torso just a tad, but that's me. Dont forget to draw each breast separately; they are not a singular form! I'd turn them a little towards the "camera" since they seem to be floating off towards her right side.
The sword is very pretty! The only thing I'd suggest for that is to work on the foreshortening a bit more there
The area with the most room for improvement is the muzzle. It's very elongated and square, and doesn't seem to meld on the face well. This is a rough angle to work from, so godspeed on that regard; I'd suggest checking some reference (if you have a pet dog, take a look at them from that angle)

But yeah. keep working on it, you're on the right track!

Sliding down a sheer surface is an incredibly strenuous thing, you should push her body language to express that: Set those ears back, narrow those eyes, clench that fist, splay her toes and fingers with stress and friction. Being that she's in a controlled fall, all of the parts of the image should pretty much be pointing and flowing in the same or opposite directions (see the arrows!), save for her sword arm, which gives the feeling that she's in control and knows what she's doing when placed perpendicular to the motion of everything else. Lifting that elbow back and out a little adds a lot of strength to it, too - it tells us she's preparing to strike. When falling like this, you also need to counterbalance the weight of your upperbody be scrunching up and leaning as close to the wall as possible; this puts her spine in more of a 'C' shape, directs her crotch an the tops of her shoulders almost directly at us, and makes the opposing angles of her hip and shoulder lines more dramatic.

Don't be afraid to cut off most of the lower leg with the picture plane, it's more awkward to just be missing a foot than a big chunk of leg, and it usually looks unintentional. It's better to either plot it out and crop deeper or not crop it at all.
